Most people who choose a motoring holiday chose their accommodation at a campsite. That shouldn’t be a surprise really because there are so many options in accommodation which gives you freedom in your choices. You could decide on a mobile home, or bring your caravan, or perhaps you like to camp the proper way and sleep in your own tent? Once you have arrived at a campsite and have taken a rest from driving, the real holiday adventure can begin.

One of the main reasons why people choose a campsite is because of the friendly atmosphere and fun. Campsites are one big social event. Even before you have arrived at a campsite you probably already have had a social debate with family or friends about ‘what to pack, and what to bring’ and of course, ‘WHERE to go’! Once you have arrived at your choice of campsite you and your family become part of the large crowd. That’s what campsites are famous for, the friendly atmosphere with fun and entertainment.

Every country has its own style of campsites

Although the principle of camping holidays is the same all over the world, every country will have slight differences in campsites. If you drive to the warm and drier countries like Spain, France, Italy or Croatia, it will be more difficult to put your tent pegs in the ground. You won’t have problems like that for instance in Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland or Germany.

So you see there are plenty of choices to make for choosing a campsite that is most suitable for you.
